It’s getting down to the last couple of days and I still have so much to do. I haven’t even began packing and there are a few people I still want to hangout with. My going away party yesterday was great. It was wonderful to have so many great people all in one place and I am definitely realizing that I will miss these people. But I am also going to meet many new friends and have so many great experiences that there is no reason to be sad! Plus, there is always skype and free internet calling ;)

Today, my family and I are having a family day and we are going out to some lake to BBQ, play games and have a good time. It should be great. I also gotta go to Blockbuster get my last free rentals and maybe tonight I will go see Cherish and Isaiah. But for now I am going to. Pictures from yesterday will be posted in a bit :)

I am leaving for kangaroo land in 13 days! So let’s have a going away party:

When; Saturday June 27th
Where: My house in West Linn

Starting at 5:30 pm and ending whenever the party is over.

We are gonna BBQ, bonfire, beer and drinks, Hot tub, FOOD :) It’s a potluck so bring something to drink or a dish!

Oh my goodness! It’s coming to soon and I am so excited! I am starting to think of all the things I am going to have to pack. This will be rougher than I thought since I can only take 2 bags. I have been trying to find some images of the place I am going to live and I will have a small idea of what it will actually look like! A coworker gave me some small tips for moving in. Things like checking if everything is there, etc. I still need to contact the school for the pick up service they offer!

Other than that I put in my 2 week notices at work which means this is all actually going to happen. I still can’t quite believe it. I don’t think I will till I am actually on the plane. I am trying to do lots of photoshoots before I leave and hangout with friends. I am gonna miss my friends. But, there is always skype and making new friends :) I need to start working out before I go also. Ahh so much to do, so little time ;)

I also want to put in a little note that I think it is fantastic that my mom set up three little clocks with times for Australia, Germany and here. It’s cool!

I did get into the Australia Now class though and I am excited. I have to contact some department though for a timetable which I guess means schedule but I am not sure. After talking on the phone with a counselor I feel much better about understanding the people too. The lady from the housing was nice but had a tough accent to understand. It will definitely be a learning process. 

Other than that I got all my flight info. The airline won’t give me exit seats because they don’t have a photo of me on file so I got all window seats. This should be fun. I hope I have someone nice sitting next to me ;) Also, the economy class does not have a power outlet and I think I am going to just take a sleeping pill and pass out! 

But for now I am going to work on cleaning my room, getting my website finished, filling out an application for blogging on PNCA and getting ready for work. And eat some food :) I hope they have good food in Australia. And I wonder if they have a German Store…

32 days

5263914_3_fs     So I just counted the days till I am leaving to go to Australia and it is down to 32 days. Kind of crazy but super awesome. I cannot wait to go. I got accepted, got my visa, got my housing, got into the classes and waiting on one more response to see if I got accepted to the Australia Now class at the U of M. The housing is fantastic. It’s a short ride via tram to the city and to the school. On the right is a picture of the courtyard. Mine is the second room in. It’s been a very long process but it is all coming together. I still gotta buy an airplane adapter so my computer won’t die on me. The flight from San Francisco to Sydney alone is 14.5 hours. But, it will all be okay. My going away party will be on the 27th so mark the calenders. More details for that soon. But for now I gotta stop writing and go to work. Keep smiling and stay positive
